NWA Daily

Americans and the Holocaust, a traveling exhibition from the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, will be on display at Mullins Library on the U of A campus until Dec 8.

  • Observing the past: The exhibit examines America’s responses to Nazism, the war, and the genocide that took place in Europe during the 1930s and 1940s.
  • Interpreting the past: Taking visitors on a journey into the past, the memorial poses two primary questions: What did Americans know, and what more could have been done?

Arkansas Department Of Education Gives Each School A Letter Grade

NWA Daily

The Arkansas Department of Education has released the letter grade report and “Every Student Succeeds Act” index scores for Arkansas schools.

  • The rubric: Scores assigned to schools were based on weighted achievement, value-added growth, school quality, student success, and graduation rates.
  • Pandemic effects: This is the first time the ADE has graded schools since the pandemic, and compared to 2019, fewer schools in the state received ‘A’ and ‘B’ grades. However, schools in NWA trended higher than the rest of the state.
