‘Legally Blonde The Musical’ Launches National Tour At Walton Arts Center

Northwest Arkansas will have four opportunities to see Legally Blonde The Musical at the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville from Oct 14-16 before it launches its national tour. 

  • The inaugural crowd: NWA will be the first audience for the show as it runs through the “teching” process, preparing the show for its life on the road. WAC has helped 13 Broadway-sized shows launch national and international tours since 1997.

Arkansas Blue Cross Donates $1.98m To New Master’s Program At U of A

The Walton College of Business recently announced the creation of the Robert L. Shoptaw Master of Healthcare Business Analytics Program, and Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield is playing a very supportive role, donating $1.98m to the founding of the program. 

  • Building a program: The $1.98m funding from Arkansas Blue Cross will support new faculty and staff, faculty development, recruiting and advertisement, data support and events to promote the growth of the new program.
  • Meeting a need: The program will equip skilled graduates to meet the growing need for healthcare data analysts who can transform data into insights that lead to improvements for patients.
