Put on your sweaters, because tonight is opening night for the last art installation at the Famous Hardware building in Springdale.

  • Through the glass: The installations featured this time are a fictional used book store from the 1970s, and a multi layered mural “that changes dramatically from daytime to nighttime" that fills the windows of the Famous Hardware store.
  • Pizza party: A slice of pizza is on the house for those who attend the opening night until the pizza runs out. If you get a slice from The Odd Soul and wear a Christmas sweater, you get a second slice...

Shifting Gears

NWA Daily

Recognizing seasons come and go, the Rogers City Council deemed it necessary to end the contract with Downtown Rogers, Inc (DTR, Inc.) so as to reset and determine what Rogers needs moving forward into 2022.

  • Shift: DTR, Inc. will no longer operate in downtown events programming, though it will continue as a Division of the Chamber to help sustain and grow the Go Downtown Rogers brand.
  • As a result: The city is putting the Frisco Festival and the Downtown Rogers Christmas Parade on halt for 2022, as part of an effort to reassess what Rogers needs to thrive. Instead of a couple grand events next year, there might be smaller events throughout the year.
