Pop-Up Market Today Behind Momentary

The NWA Girl Gang and Rejoicy are hosting a pop-up market today behind the Momentary from 6-10p. 

  • Shop local: The pop-up is free and open to the public! An inclusive market experience will provide a space for you to shop from a diverse array of brands, businesses, artists, and makers. All vendors are participating in the pop-up at no cost to them. 
  • Additions: Donations to support the NWA Girl Gang Market are greatly appreciated but not necessary for entry. In addition to vendors, the market will have a sensory tent sponsored by Ozark Luxury Camping to experience and on-site tattooing by Tailored Fit Tattoo with exclusive flash art.

Hunting and Fishing Seasons Begin

Arkansas Game and Fish Commission

With autumn and hunting season upon us, events are ramping with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC). 

  • Hunting: The season for small game has already begun and will last until the end of February, as will the archery season for deer after it starts on Sep 24. Northwest Arkansas zone dates for muzzleloaders, moderns, and a special youth modern hunt are listed here. Bear and elk season dates will also vary. 
  • Fishing: National Hunting and Fishing day is Sep 24, and the AGFC will be celebrating with fishing events across the state, the closest being at Lake Centerton

Tyson Foods Addresses Hunger & Food Insecurity

NWA Daily

Tyson Foods is partnering again with Feeding America member food banks and is committed to giving $2.5m to address food insecurity. 

  • Nourish: In addition to funds, Tyson is giving 2.5 million lbs of meat, or roughly 10 million meals, to help alleviate hunger. $1m of the donation will go toward improving access to nutritious food among those experiencing high rates of food insecurity. The rest of the donation will go toward the expansion of food banks. 
  • Local benefit: Since 2006, Tyson has donated nearly $3.5m to Feeding America and $223m of protein to food banks such as the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank in Lowell.

Nightmare on Block Street Returns

Nightmare on Block Street

Nightmare on Block Street is returning this year with events during the whole month of October! Primarily an immersive themed pop-up bar at Pinpoint in Fayetteville, there will be multiple events the public can enjoy around town.

  • Dress up: The Nightmare on Block Street pop-up bar will feature a new Halloween-themed menu and “a complete Halloween sensory overload.” The pinball machines at Pinpoint will be made scary, and it’s sure to be a good time. 
  • Get scary: Other events are Conjuring & Other Sins at 100 W Center, dubbed as “Fayetteville’s only truly haunted alleyway,” Bram Stoker’s Dracula presented by Ballet Arkansas, Horror Movie Screenings at Mt. Sequoyah, and a Vampire Blood drive at Pinpoint.

NWA Restaurants Participate in Peat & Pearls Events

Hail Fellow Well Met

Roving supper club Peat & Pearls celebrates culinary storytelling in the American south and is hosting two events in Northwest Arkansas this fall. 

  • One: The first event is Sep 12 at Conifer in Bentonville with Chef Matthew Cooper. The meal, starting with oysters and leeks, will be five courses, and tickets are $175. Ticket sales end tomorrow, so get yours now!
  • Two: The second event is on Nov 7 at Hail Fellow Well Met in Springdale with Chef Tyler Rogers. The meal, starting with beet greens and venison, will be six courses, and tickets are $150; ticket sales for non-members start Oct 24.
