Moulin Rouge! The Musical Showing At Walton Arts Center

Just in time for Valentine's Day, Moulin Rouge! The Musical takes the stage at Walton Arts Center tonight for the first of 14 performances from Feb 9-19.

U.S. Pro Cup Mountain Bike Series Returns To Fayetteville

For the third year in a row, Centennial Park in Fayetteville will attract cross-country mountain bikers from around the country for the 2023 U.S. Pro Cup set for April 12-16.

  • All levels: The four-day event will include cross-country mountain bike races for beginners, amateurs, and professionals and qualifying races for those hopeful athletes with eyes set on the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
  • New extremes: Fayetteville's world-class mountain bike course is the only North American race destination that offers hors categories, or uncategorizable, race opportunities that feature the longest, steepest, and most challenging routes for elite bikers looking to gain massive points.

Northwest Arkansas Sees Decrease In Residential Building Permits

Residential building permits across Northwest Arkansas's four largest cities saw a 10.3% decrease in 2022 compared to the previous year.

  • Ups and downs: There were 1,582 residential permits issued last year, valuing $661.03m, compared to 2021's 1,764 permits totaling $578.61m.
  • The hot spot: Standing apart from the pack, Centerton ended the year with 770 residential permits, a 32% increase over the 583 permits issued in 2021.
