NWA Schools Rank Top Of US News Best High School List

Northwest Arkansas schools are yet again at the top of the 2022 U.S. News ranking of the Best High Schools in Arkansas

  • Top spots: The staff at U.S. News reviewed nearly 24,000 public high schools in the U.S. and 267 make their rankings. Haas Hall Academy in Fayetteville ranked #13 in national rankings, and four out of the top five schools in Arkansas are in NWA. 
  • Schools: Haas Hall Academy in Fayetteville took the top spot in Arkansas followed by NWA Classical Academy High School, which ranked #201 nationally, and Bentonville High School, which ranked #630 nationally. Rogers New Technology High School ranked fifth in Arkansas schools below a school in Sherwood.

Cureate Courses To Host A Pitch Showcase And Dinner

Cureate Courses is hosting a local Pitch Showcase and Food Market today at The Jones Center in Springdale. 

  • The pitch: The latest Cureate Courses cohort will have a Pitch Showcase this evening which will not only result in one business owner taking home $5,000 for their business, but it will celebrate eight local, women-owned food and beverage small businesses. 
  • The delivery: The evening will feature dinner and a show with food and dessert from the participants available for purchase. There will be live music and complimentary mocktails as well at the free event, which will go from 5-8p. The pitching will start at 6p.

J.B. Hunt Named Among Best Businesses For Diversity by Forbes

J.B. Hunt has been recognized as a Best Employer for Diversity by Forbes for the second year in a row. 

  • Employee survey: Forbes partnered with Statista to survey more than 60,000 U.S individuals who work with companies with at least 1,000 employees on a number of criteria to come to their conclusions.
  • Intentionality: J.B. Hunt launched its Office of Inclusion in 2021 to help foster a more inclusive culture. By working closely with the college of business at the University of Arkansas, the company has worked to bring inclusivity to the supply chain industry as well.

BITE NWA Returns Bigger Than Ever

BITE Northwest Arkansas is returning with an expanded three-part event series throughout the region in conjunction with the Walmart NWA Championship presented by P&G. 

  • Food experience: The BITE NWA food festival has always celebrated the region’s best cuisine, restaurants, and chefs, giving attendees an elevated culinary experience in their own backyard. Traditionally, BITE NWA is held in one place during #NWAChampionship Week, but this go-around is promising an elevated experience. 
  • Three parts: This year, the festival will kick off in Downtown Rogers on Friday, July 29 at Frisco Plaza. The second event will be on September 1 at The Jones Center in Springdale, and the series will conclude with the BITE Experience at the LGPA tournament at Pinnacle Country Club September 23-25. Tickets go on sale May 16.
