A Christmas Carol On Stage At TheatreSquared All Month Long

The holiday classic, A Christmas Carolwill perform at TheatreSquared all December long, with opening night tonight at 7p. 

  • Hard to miss: There are showings scheduled every day in December except Mondays, so you'd have to be a real Scrooge to miss it.  
  • Classic: Based on the novel by Charles Dickens, the play follows Ebenezer Scrooge, who receives a visit from the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future and recovers the true spirit of Christmas.

Fayetteville To Host USA Triathlon National Championship Races

Ozark Valley Triathlon

USA Triathlon announced Fayetteville as the host of four national championship races – Off-Road Triathlon and Duathlon and Gravel Triathlon and Duathlon – during the 2023 Ozark Valley Triathlon weekend, June 2-4. 

  • Worldwide: The top 18 finishers in each age group of the off-road triathlon and duathlon will have the opportunity to represent Team USA in the 2024 World Triathlon Cross Triathlon and Duathlon World Championships to be held in Australia. 
  • Sign on up: Registration for all events opens today at 8a. National championship races are open registration, so pre-qualifying is not required.

The Rogers Christmas Parade Will Roll Through Downtown This Friday

The Rogers Christmas Parade is this Friday, Dec 2, beginning at 7p and weaving through the vibrant holiday atmosphere of historic Downtown Rogers. 

  • The Nutcracker Suite: The festivities kick off with a holiday dance production by Ballet Westside Dance Studio at 6p at S. 1st St. and West Elm in the Turntable Plaza of Railyard Plaza.
  • Warm and cozy: Enjoy refreshments from the various Downtown shops and stop by The Optimist Club of Rogers at 600 W Walnut St. for some free hot cocoa.

Springdale-Based Latin Music Artists Win National Award

Duo Divinas

Local artists Julieta Ortiz and Azucena Garcia, who make up the Duo Divinas, were presented an award at the Latin Music Awards in Chicago. 

  • And the winner is: The duo's song, Esclavos del Pecado, earned them a nomination for Singer of the Year in the Tropical Fusion category at the Latin Music Awards, the award they went on to win! 
  • Celebrating culture: Duo Divinas writes and performs songs in Bachata, a genre representative of the Dominican Republic, as well as other cultural fusions.
