U of A College of Business Ranks In Best Business Schools List

The US News & World Report recently ranked graduate programs and included the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the University of Arkansas’ Sam M. Walton College of Business in its listings. 

  • Placements: The Walton MBA program was ranked as the 36th Best Business School in the nation among public business colleges and the 64th in the combined public and private list. This places the Walton MBA in the top 13% of all US MBA programs. 
  • Collection: The supply chain track in the Walton MBA program is the 13th best among all US MBA programs and adds to the growing list of rankings for the Walton MBA, which includes the 11th best return on investment ranking by The Wall Street Journal.

Friends Spring Book Sale Returns

The Friends Spring Book Sale is back inside the Bentonville Public Library and begins today! 

  • Cheap books: The Friends book sale will take place through Saturday (April 16) in the Walmart and Rotary rooms in the Library and have thousands of books for as low as 50 cents. The sale today is for Friends of Library members, and tomorrow and Saturday will be open to the community. 
  • Prizes: There will also be a special prize drawing for three copies of “Friday Comes on Tuesday,” a book about Alice Walton’s dog Friday at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, signed by the real Alice and Friday.

Woof & Wander Put On Egg Hunt For Dogs

There are egg hunts happening all over for kids, but what about furry kids?? Well, Woof & Wander in Rogers is sponsoring The Great Downtown Rogers Egg Hunt as a fun way for you and your pup to celebrate the season!

  • Hunt: The hunt starts today and will go through Sunday, April 17. There will be a number of plastic eggs hidden in and around Downtown Rogers and will be clearly marked for this event. They will have dog-friendly treats inside and a ticket for a prize! 
  • Redeem: In order for a greater number of participants, and to keep it fair, there will only be one prize per player. So wander around downtown, let your dog find an egg, and bring the ticket inside to Woof & Wander to redeem your prize.

Art On The Bricks Art Walk Today In Rogers

The Art on the Bricks Art Walk in Downtown Rogers is back again, and today’s theme is “Fashion, Steampunk, & Cosplay.” 

  • Some events: There will be opportunity to see student art and performances, anyone can attend the meet and greet with a 7’ tall dinosaur “muppet” named Miss Cricket, and a Scott Family Amazeum tent will be set up for people to learn and experience how dig sites are created and how artifacts are discovered. 
  • And more: The Rogers Experimental House will be a place of activity as well with a display of puppets created by the Clothing Construction and Fashion Design students from Arkansas Arts Academy. Students from Ozark will also be present doing Mannequin Modeling poses.

Rogers Historical Museum Presents New Exhibit

The Rogers Historical Museum has an upcoming exhibit called “Creative Minds in the Ozarks” and it will be on show from this Saturday, Apr 16 - Jun 25.

  • Mountain artists: The new exhibit nods to the many artists that have made their home in the Ozarks. Creative Minds in the Ozarks will include a wide variety of artworks and mediums with everything from woodworking, paintings, pictures made of seeds, and a woven pine needle basket. 
  • New pieces: There will be plenty of pieces that have never been in an exhibition before, so there will be so much for people to enjoy! The Rogers Historical Museum is located at 313 S. 2nd St and is open Tuesday-Saturday 10-4p.
