Student-athletes at the University of Arkansas will be able to capitalize on their image and likeness through a new program, Flagship.

  • Context: During the 2021 legislative session, legislation was passed that will allow Arkansas student-athletes to receive compensation for their publicity or name, image and likeness rights. Student-athletes can now enter into contracts to be compensated for commercial use of publicity rights.

Pay Your Pedals Forward

NWA Daily

Pedal It Forward, a local nonprofit in Bentonville and Rogers, aims to give everyone the opportunity to ride a bike and enjoy the freedoms that come with having wheels.

  • Tell me more: The organization receives bike donations, volunteers repair those bikes, and then Pedal It Forward distributes the bikes to those in need. If you want to volunteer to work on bikes or represent Pedal It Forward, no matter your skill set you can be valuable.
  • What can I do? You can join their group on social media, donate a used bike, and get in touch with them to volunteer. What better time to get involved than May Bike Month?

If you need a bike or know someone that does, you can contact Pedal It Forward HERE.
