  • Digital DJ: Catch the last three nights of Momentous, the electronic music festival happening this weekend at the Momentary. 
  • Wish upon a star: Witness the Orinonid meteor shower over the Buffalo River during the Dark Sky Festival which starts today at 4p. 
  • Training wheels optional: Cheer kids on in OZ Kids Fat Tire Criterium and Fall Fest in Downtown Bentonville on Saturday at 3p.

Coler Mountain Bike Preserve was awarded “Best of Best” in the recreational category by the Architecture MasterPrize

  • Another one: Coler was designed by Modus Studio, A Fayetteville based firm that continues to rake in awards for their visionary designs across NWA and beyond. 
  • A symbol: Coler Mountain Bike Preserve was completed in 2020, and has quickly become a defining feature of the mountain biking mecca that is NW Arkansas.

Downtown Bentonville Inc. featured Bentonville resident Chris Thompson on DWNT Now about his recovery from addiction and how he went on to create Sober Sidekick App, an app designed to help recovering addicts. 

  • Empathy empowers: The app provides a tool to track sobriety, daily motivations, 24/7 access to virtual AA meetings, and chat rooms with others on the road to recovery. 
  • Everyone profits: In the interview, Thompson described the founders’ dedication to only earn profit from partners that benefit from addicts’ continued sobriety rather than their continued relapse.
