One Dollar, Bob

NWA Daily

How much do you think it would cost to buy a university? The online Grantham University sold for $1 on Wednesday morning. The U of A Board of Trustees approved the transaction, anyway.

  • Win Win: The University of Arkansas is set to acquire all of the assets of the for-profit university: tuition revenue, courses, employees, students, everything. All for $1. Grantham University will expand with the U of A's budget, which will help it overcome growing pains.
  • And Win: The U of A can now more easily reach adults who need to attend a “fully online, flexible institution,” including an additional 4,000 Grantham students who will now have access to Arkansas's resources and courses.
