NWA Council Release Regional Hospital Data

As of Friday evening, the NWA Council in joint efforts with regional hospitals, released regional hospital data to better show the current COVID condition.

  • Info - As of Friday, there were 98 patients in COVID units. 557 in-patients with other medical needs. 124 ICU beds were in use.
  • “These units are specially trained and prepared to protect and care for the COVID-19 positive patients while also protecting and providing care for patients with other medical needs,” according to the Council.


The Boot Stays with LSU

Over the weekend, Arkansas and LSU met for the 66th time in series history. The Hogs were seeking after their first win over the Tigers since 2015, but came up short. The Tigers claimed a fifth straight victory over the Razorbacks 27-24.

  • Info - Disregarding a few questionable calls on both sides of the ball, the Razorbacks failed to tie up the game in the last minutes by missing a 49 yard field goal. The game was not short of high power plays with some highlights from a few unexpected players on the Arkansas bench.

WMT Museum Re-Opens

The Walmart Museum on the square in downtown Bentonville re-opens for the year with timed tickets and COVID safety measures in place.

  • Info - with a shortage of activities for the family to participate in this holiday season, the Walmart Museum has re-opened just in time for Thanksgiving. More information about the protocols and getting tickets can be found HERE

Don't Forget your Local Restaurants

Regional restaurants and bars are adjusting to the new hours in response to the Governor's announcement on Thursday to close places that sell alcohol by 11p.

  • Info - As part of the reasoning to the new regulations, Governor Hutchinson said, “We’re trying to minimize undisciplined gatherings of people that are not in compliance of public health guidelines."
  • New traditions? The NWA Covid Taskforce is asking the region to play it safe and potentially start a new tradition by supporting local restaurants
