On November 27, 1957 the “last elements” of the 101st Airborne, United States Army, departed Little Rock after standing guard at Little Rock Central High School. Inside the school, a rock was thrown at a hall guard by a student on their exit.


NWA Girl Gang launches virtual holiday market

A local non-profit, NWA Girl Gang, launched today with efforts of hosting a Virtual Holiday Market to encourage the community to shop and spend local

  • In efforts to support artist, makers, and woman-owned businesses who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, NWA Girl Gang has put together a virtual event for locals to shop and reinvest their money into the community.

Miracle on 2nd Street pop-up bar returns

A Christmas pop-up bar makes a return stop to Bentonville

  • The Christmas pop-up bar, located at The Undercroft bar in Bentonville, will have a special cocktail list with over-the-top decorations for the holiday season
  • The bar is open Tuesday-Saturday between 4-11p. More information about making reservations can be found HERE


Bentonville City Council approves 2021 budget

Earlier this week, the Bentonville City Council approved the 2021 general fund budget of $51.4 million. This is up 3.7% from the 2020 budget

Sanctioned camp supporting the homeless

The site called Safe Camp, located on the Southeast side of town is about 13 acres of city land used as a sanctioned and registered site to assist Fayetteville residence who are struggling with homelessness.

  • "7 Hills Homeless Center established the camp in late July using about $85,000 in federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Securities Act money administered through the city's Community Resources Division." - NWA Democrat Gazette
  • As of earlier this week, there were approximately 35 residents of the facility.
