Shaun White Visits Rogers For Fiesta Twists 360º Event

NWA Daily

Ever imagine you'd see legendary snowboarder Shaun White throw a Double McTwist 1260... in front of a Walmart...in Arkansas? We didn't either, but there's a chance you might this Sunday, Jan 8, at the Pleasant Crossing Walmart in Rogers.

  • Stunts and snacks: Each time slot includes a showing of snowboarders performing epic stunts, athletes doing extreme trampoline flips, and a chance to sample Old El Paso's new Fiesta Twists.
  • Full 360º: Walmart+ Members can bring up to three guests, and the first 200 Walmart+ members have a chance to sign up for a meet and greet with Shaun White.

Recent U of A Grad Buys Uncle Sam's Safari Outfitters In Fayetteville

Uncle Sam's Safari Outfitters

When Justin Macedo started a consulting project for Uncle Sam's Safari Outfitters as part of an assignment in his small business class, he never imagined he'd soon become the owner of one of Fayetteville's oldest outdoor gear and clothing stores.

  • Opportunity: Macedo worked for the store's previous owner, Ryland Arnold, and while completing his entrepreneurship project, he learned Arnold was actually interested in selling the business. So he jumped at the opportunity.
  • Iconic: Uncle Sam's was first opened in 1982 by Robert Ginsburg in a backroom off Dickson St and later relocated to Evelyn Hills Shopping Center in 1985.
