Arkansas Gymnastics has ten regular season meets on deck for 2023, giving Northwest Arkansas an excellent opportunity for family fun and entertainment for all ages.

  • At home: This season's schedule has the University of Arkansas hosting five home meets this spring, three in Barnhill Arena and two in Bud Walton Arena.
  • Make history: Last season, the Gymbacks made history with the first-ever gymnastics meet at the venue against Auburn and set a new single-meet attendance record with 10,345 fans in the building.

Local Chef Serving The Community A Second Helping Of Care

Secondhand Smoke NWA

KUAF's Ozarks at Large invited local chef Nate Walls onto the show to hear his story of founding Second Helping NWA and how he's using barbecue as a force for good in the community.

  • Smokin': Nate Walls is the owner of Secondhand Smoke NWA, sharing the skills he cultivated as a chef during his years in the Army by whipping up some killer barbecue and comfort food.
  • Servin': When the pandemic hit, he couldn't sit idly by while many in the community went hungry, and what started as cooking meals for neighbors in need transformed into the nonprofit Second Helpings NWA, which has served nearly 8,000 meals.

Springdale Florist Designed Sarah Huckabee Sanders' Inaugural Ball

Organic Creations

Glenn Schnetzinger, owner of Organic Creations in Springdale, was chosen to design the floral decorations for Governor-elect Sarah Huckabee Sanders' inauguration.

  • Blossoming: Schnetzinger is one of the few designers in Arkansas to be inducted into the American Institute of Floral Design, studied under the prestigious Gregor Lersch, and has been featured in the Dallas Museum of Art, Crystal Bridges, and numerous design publications.
  • Famous flowers: Designing Governor-elect Sanders' inauguration adds to Schnetzinger's repertoire of renowned events, having been part of design teams for four Academy Awards ceremonies and President Bush's inauguration in 2001.

Boulevard Bread Company Coming To Fayetteville

Boulevard Bread Company

Boulevard Bread Company of Little Rock announced plans for a location on Crossover Rd in Fayetteville with hopes to open this spring.

  • On the rise: Founded in 1999, the company has three locations in Little Rock. Co-owners Johnathan Buford and Joshua Begley will operate the Fayetteville location.
  • Same favorites: Christina McGehee, co-owner of the Little Rock restaurants, told the Fayetteville Flyer that the new location plans to offer the same menu, including their beloved pastries, fresh bread, sandwiches, soup, coffee, and more.
