Kids Fishing Tournament Coming to Beaver Lake.

NWA Daily

Get your kids' rods and reels ready, because the Beaver Watershed Alliance and NWA CastMasters are putting on a youth-focused fishing tournament at Beaver Lake.

  • Fun for all: Teams will be comprised of one adult and 2 youths, and registration will cost $50. Not only will teams get to enjoy the great outdoors, but over $5,000 in prizes will be awarded to tournament winners and giveaway recipients.
  • More than fishing: In addition to giving youth an outlet to enjoy a great day on the lake, the Beaver Watershed Alliance and NWA CastMasters aim for this to be an educational event and to fundraise for youth programming.

'See it Be it' With Bentonville Film Festival President

NWA Daily

The 8th annual Bentonville Film Festival is fast approaching, and KUAF's Matthew Moore sat down to chat with the festival's president, Wendy Guerrero, about this year's event.

  • New digs: In years past, the film festival has been located right off of the downtown square. This year, however, the festival will be located at The Momentary.
  • Taking volunteers: The festival is all about creating "see it, be it" moments, and they want you to be a part of it. They are still looking for volunteers to help out in many different areas.

Mark your calendars for the festival on June 22, and check out this KUAF story to get a little preview.
