Kids Fishing Tournament Coming to Beaver Lake.

Get your kids' rods and reels ready, because the Beaver Watershed Alliance and NWA CastMasters are putting on a youth-focused fishing tournament at Beaver Lake.

  • Fun for all: Teams will be comprised of one adult and 2 youths, and registration will cost $50. Not only will teams get to enjoy the great outdoors, but over $5,000 in prizes will be awarded to tournament winners and giveaway recipients.
  • More than fishing: In addition to giving youth an outlet to enjoy a great day on the lake, the Beaver Watershed Alliance and NWA CastMasters aim for this to be an educational event and to fundraise for youth programming.

NWA Tech Startup Gratavid Acquired

Fayetteville based tech company Gratavid was recently acquired by London based company Graduway + Gravyty

  • Give and receive: Gratavid is a platform that aids large nonprofits in donor retention through personalized videos from those receiving gifts or donations. The company was founded in 2019 by Will Trapp and has acquired customers such as Habitat for Humanity, Teach for America, United Way, and more.
  • A perfect fit: Both Graduway and Gravyty have very similar platforms to Gratavid, and together the combined entity will serve over 2,500 customers, building stronger relationships with donors.

'See it Be it' With Bentonville Film Festival President

The 8th annual Bentonville Film Festival is fast approaching, and KUAF's Matthew Moore sat down to chat with the festival's president, Wendy Guerrero, about this year's event.

  • New digs: In years past, the film festival has been located right off of the downtown square. This year, however, the festival will be located at The Momentary.
  • Taking volunteers: The festival is all about creating "see it, be it" moments, and they want you to be a part of it. They are still looking for volunteers to help out in many different areas.

Live in America Festival Starting Tommorrow

The Live in America Festival celebrating eight communities across the US and Mexico is beginning this week in partnership with The Momentary.

  • Celebrating culture: The festival is meant to observe the cultures and traditions of different communities across America. These differences are what make the world we live in so great, and are definitely something to celebrate.
  • Eight communities, two weeks: From Jun 2 - 12, you'll be able to see shows, installations, and listen to talks highlighting the featured communities. These events will take place across downtown Bentonville.
