Benton County Moves Records Online

A week ago, Benton County Records office started scanning more than 20,000 records to have them available online

  • Info - The workers are working 22 hours a day to get the documents digitalized. Once online, the documents will date back to the 1900s.

Rich Context, a local retail tech company located in Rogers is acquired by The Stable, a consumer brand agency in Minneapolis

Interstate 49 Project on Track

Work to complete the $66.59 million interchange for the Bella Vista Bypass in Arkansas has continued without delay and should be completed in late 2021. - TB&P

  • "Emery Sapp & Sons of Columbia, Mo., is completing the final two segments of the bypass in Arkansas, including the interchange at U.S. Highway 71 in northern Bentonville and 2.6 miles of the bypass, from Benton County Road 34 to the Missouri state line." - TB&P
  • Estimated completion is late summer or early fall 2021. In August the related project to widen I-49 there opened to traffic and was the final widening segment in NWA.

City of Fayetteville Issues Updated Health Guidelines

Fayetteville's Board of Health suggested new guidelines last week in efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

  • Info - Residents should limit all gatherings to no more than 10 people from no more than two households. This includes gatherings within the home. "The new guidelines suggest not only wearing masks and social distancing when in public, but also at gatherings in homes and even when outside at home." - FayettevilleFlyer
  • It is an important to note these are recommendations and no penalty or punishment will be enforced for not following these recommendations.
  • "Active statewide cases reached 14,491 on Thursday, which is an 85% increase over the same time last month when active cases were at 7,839. In the previous three months, active cases ranged from about 5,700 to 6,700.

Thanksgiving Safety Tips

Arkansas Center for Health Improvement is provided recommendations for Thanksgiving gatherings

  • Info - ACHI strongly recommends that family's forgo gathering outside of the core household. If you do meet with extended families, the ACHI recommends eating outside, wearing a mask when appropriate, and under a limited time frame. Gatherings should be limited to 10 or less if possible.
  • If you plan on traveling out of the state, try getting a rapid test before leaving and once you return back into the state.

Bentonville Remembers Former Football Coach

The Bentonville School district confirmed that Bentonville schools coach and teacher, David Bradley, died after complications with cancer on Saturday, November 14.
