Time To Ride

It’s time again to ride as the fall Square 2 Square event is this Saturday (Oct. 2). 

  • Ride on: Bikers are starting at the Square in Bentonville and finishing at Walker Park in Fayetteville. There is a virtual option taking place for those wanting to go solo. If you don’t wan’t to ride, but want to help out, there is plenty for volunteers to do!
  • Party path: The Halfway Halt is back at Turnbow Park in Springdale as a midway point on the 30 mile journey. There will be music, food, free yoga and more if you find you want to make a fun little pit stop.

Downtown Springdale has a host of galleries, museums, makers’ spaces and boutiques, and loves to show them off in style. 

  • A series: There will be a free Art Walk series taking place during 3 evenings over the next 2 months. Mark your calendar - the 3 dates are Oct. 7, Oct. 28, and Nov. 27
  • The whole deal: The Art Walk evenings will be filled with entertainment, food, drinks, and music to accompany the creative spaces on display. There are 12 participants that will be featured on the walks.

Showcasing Us

It is the Walton Arts Center’s 30th anniversary season, and to celebrate it is opening its first ever regional art exhibition

  • Local creatives: Exclusively curated, “Our Art, Our Region, Our Time” exhibition showcases 73 works from 64 NWA artists. The opening reception is tomorrow from 6-8p in the Joy Pratt Markham Gallery.
  • Representative: All of the pieces chosen for the exhibit were completed in 2020 and 2021 and were curated in an effort to have a diverse show in both the artists and featured art. "Our Art, Our Region, Our Time" will be on display until Nov. 5.
