A day trip to Livesay Orchards will keep you and the family entertained.

  • Century of tradition: The Livesay farm was founded in 1920 and offers the Tulsa community with a fall harvest in a real pumpkin patch. Open all weekends and select fall days, they have hayrides, an epic corn maze, and pumpkin and apple picking.
  • Fall harvest: Pre-purchasing your tickets are preferred for the pumpkin patch and apple picking. The corn maze this year is of baseball player Frank Linzy - 1956 Porter graduate and MLB legend.

City Plans Inclusive Playground For Community At Whiteside Park

City of Tulsa

Last week the City of Tulsa and leaders announced their plan to build an inclusive playground in Tulsa.

  • Whiteside Park: The goal is for this park to be "the most inclusive play spaces" in Oklahoma. The Mayor is especially excited about the park as he was cited saying, "this is one of the projects I am most excited about int he whole city".
  • Big thank you: Funding was provided by the Sanford and Irene Burnstein Foundation. $1.2M to be exact. Construction on the new playground is scheduled for early 2023.
