A Fayetteville-based NFT platform for developers and traders raised nearly $1 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Hivemind.

  • Bridging gaps: The platform is called Byzantion, and the Company is building a unified, cross-chain experience for both developers and traders. Byzantion will be set apart by offering easy to use infrastructure for developers to build on top of and tools for serious NFT traders.
  • Unique space: Byzantion currently provides trading tools to research, buy and list over 600,000 NFTs on Stacks. Walton College Graduate Supply Chain Program Ranked No. 2 In North America

The supply chain management graduate program at the Sam M. Walton College of Business has been ranked No. 2 in the nation by research and consulting firm Gartner

  • Training ground: Every two years, Gartner evaluates supply chain management academic programs based on industry value and program scope and size. Walton College’s Master of Science in Supply Chain Management was launched in 2020 and prepares students for leadership roles in operations, sourcing, planning, logistics, and new product placement. 
  • Up top: The University of Arkansas is a leader in supply chain management academic programs as its undergraduate supply chain management program is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation, also by Gartner.

Arts One Presents Summer Show Begins Tomorrow

The Arts One Presents summer musical performances begin tomorrow at the Pat Ellison Performing Arts Center in the Don Tyson School of Innovation.

  • The show: This year’s summer musical is The Hunchback of Notre Dame, based on the 1831 novel by Victor Hugo with songs from the 1996 Walt Disney Animation Studios. Performance dates are Thursday, July 21, through Sunday, July 24, and Thursday, July 28 through Sunday, July 31. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online.
  • The biz: Arts One Presents, based in Springdale, empowers artists, enriches businesses, and engages community through accessible and inclusive visual and performing arts experiences. Through collaborations with artists and businesses in the Northwest Arkansas area, Arts One Presents offers public art experiences, community theater, and programming for all.

Mercy Plans $500M Expansion In NWA

Mercy

Mercy recently announced it would invest $500 million to expand in Northwest Arkansas. 

  • What's coming: This next phase of growth will include a state-of-the-art cancer center, emergency department and isolation room expansion, additional clinic locations, more outpatient care facilities, and nearly double the current number of primary care physicians and specialists. 
  • Keeping pace: The $500 million investment brings Mercy's total commitment to NWA to almost $1 billion in less than a decade. As NWA is such a fast-growing metro, Mercy's continued growth is critical to meeting the community's needs.
