New Chuy's Location Coming To NWA

The rumors that a popular Mexican restaurant chain was looking at Fayetteville locations are indeed true, and Chuy’s is coming to town. 

  • Where & when: The Fayetteville location will be in what is currently a Colton’s Steakhouse on 642 E. Millsap Rd. As of now, the timeline for an opening date for Chuy’s is unknown.
  • Number three: Chuy’s is a Tex-Mex chain with a parent company in Austin Texas. The first Arkansas location opened in Little Rock in 2013, and the second location opened in Rogers in 2014. Now Fayetteville is finally getting Arkansas’s third.

Walmart Reveals Final Plans For Two New Headquarter Buildings

The final plans for two amenity buildings on the Walmart corporate campus were revealed on Wednesday along with the Walton family’s investment of $225 million.

  • Amenity plans: In an effort to back the company’s mission and promise to “live better,” there will be a new 360,000 sq. ft Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness center and a new 73,000 sq. ft Child Care Center on the Walmart corporate campus. Child care was the most requested amenity from corporate associates. 
  • Features: The Whole Health & Fitness Center will include spaces for pickleball, tennis, basketball, volleyball, cricket, three swimming pools, yoga, weight training, and fitness rooms. The Child Care Center will support up to 500 children ranging from infants to Pre-K, and the care will be outsourced to a third party.

DEI Task Force Plans Cultural Festival In Downtown Bentonville

In an effort to celebrate culture in community, Bentonville’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Community Task Force and Downtown Bentonville Inc. are hosting a free one-day festival April 23 on the Bentonville square. 

  • Cultural stage: The family-friendly festival will showcase and celebrate the music, dancing, food, art, and diverse activities for all those who attend to learn, taste, and experience the numerous cultures that call Bentonville home. 
  • Project: There will be several organizations offering cultural activities for the community to experience along with a community art project, “Building Community One Piece at a Time.” Attendees will have opportunity to paint puzzle pieces intended to fit together to form a mural. The festival will go from 4-9p.
