Parking Reform In Fayetteville Gives New Life To Old Buildings

Before Feed and Folly became one of the coolest rooftop bars in Fayettville, the building on S College Ave sat vacant for almost 40 years due to commercial parking requirements that rendered the space unusable.

  • Renewed: Feed and Folly is just one success story resulting from Fayetteville's decision to remove commercial parking requirements citywide that formerly made spaces like this impossible to redevelop.
  • Priorities: Another benefit of eliminating parking minimums citywide has been reducing time spent processing parking variances and freeing up city staff to work on more important matters.

Razorbacks Women's Basketball Climbs In AP Poll

Razorbacks Women's Basketball has had a phenomenal start to the season, holding a 13-0 record and ranked No. 17 in the AP Top 25 Poll.

  • Jump shot: The Razorbacks saw a four-spot jump in the polls after their 83-75 win on Saturday against the previously No. 16 Creighton.
  • Wrapping up: Before heading into conference play, the team will play two games at the San Diego Invitational, tipping off today at 3p against No. 16 Oregon, followed by either No. 3 Ohio State or USF on Wednesday, Dec 21.

Springdale Adopts Update For Downtown Master Plan

Springdale City Council recently accepted the Downtown Springdale Master Plan Update, which will guide the development of Downtown Springdale for the next 5-7 years as it aims to become a vibrant community for businesses and residents.

  • Review and revise: The update brings fresh clarity and establishes new priorities based on the success of the 2015 Downtown Master Plan.
  • Getting focused: The primary focus of the update is housing, parking, art, infrastructure improvements, and the integration of the Luther George Park Expansion and Jones Center Campus Renovation projects into the urban fabric of Downtown Springdale.
