Planning Commission To Discuss Rezoning Of 112-Drive In Property

NWA Daily

A request was submitted to the City of Fayetteville earlier this month to rezone the 112 Drive-In property in order to allow a wide variety of commercial and residential uses.

  • New spaces: The 112 Drive-In property is nearly 20-acres and is set to be sold to developers. A tentative site plan shows a variety of options for housing and commercial uses such as retail or restaurant spaces.
  • A theatre to stay: The potential plans for the property currently include a smaller outdoor movie screen with an 805-seat cinema with a beer garden. The rezoning request will be discussed in the Planning Commission’s April 11 meeting.

Pinball Makes A Resurgence In NWA

Cottonbro

A game decades old is experiencing an international revival and Northwest Arkansas’s pinball bar is here for it.

  • Multi-generational: Pinpoint is a bar in Fayetteville that now hosts monthly tournaments as part of the International Flipper Pinball Association (IFPA). The bar has almost 50 pinball games in its collection and has over 30 players attending tournaments on a regular basis.
  • Go play: It costs a $1 IFPA fee to play in the tournaments that are held every second Sunday of the month, and newcomers are always welcome. If you aren’t comfortable in a tournament setting, Pinpoint also hosts one-night-play games on the last Tuesday of every month.
