Fayetteville Rug Co. Raising Funds For Afghan Weaving Center

Rumi Afghan Rugs

Rumi Afghan Rugs is an Afghan-owned company in Fayetteville that sells handmade one-of-a-kind rugs by request to benefit Afghan women weavers and help start a weaving center in Afghanistan.

  • The weaving center the Rumi Rugs is working to fund will be a hub for the community in Afghanistan and offer higher wages, a childcare facility, mobile health screening clinics, adequate lighting, and a safe work environment.
  • Each rug you’ll see is made with vibrant colors from the centuries-old tradition of dying with all-natural dyes from vegetables, roots, and flowers. Rumi Rugs is able to pay the weavers three times their regular wages, ensure ethical production, and provide quality, authentic, purposeful rugs to Northwest Arkansas.
