UofA Library Makes Space For Family Study

U of A

A new Family Study Space is available in the Mullins Library at the University of Arkansas to better support campus caregivers and children.

  • Include the young ones: The space was created to intentionally show that parents and caregivers in the community are welcome in the library. The hope is that students with children would have support and a more fulfilling educational experience with the Family Study Space.
  • Learning together: The space can accommodate multiple families and is well equipped with “kid-sized furniture, kids’ books and toys, adult-sized tables with seating for eight, a large display monitor with HDMI connection and Wi-Fi.” Children’s Literacy & Learning bags will also be made available this fall to add to the inclusion of families who learn together.

Airship Coffee Opening New Location

Blue Crane LLC

Airship Coffee in Bentonville has plans for a new location and anticipates a grand opening in early spring next year.

  • Neighborhood cafe: The new shop will be in what was originally a 1950s pump station for the entire city’s water supply. So naturally, the third Airship will be Airship “at the Pumphouse.” The design for the new space incorporates a mixture of mid-century, 1980s, and steampunk styles.
  • Get pumped: Airship at the Pumphouse will be characterized by its proximity to trails and outdoor spaces while including unique spaces within. It will be a “multilevel café and bar with a strong, humans-on-bicycles appeal.” Get excited for the pumphouse’s micro pump track and more bike-as-transportation incentives coming soon!
