Hub of HOPE Brings Resources For Local Human Trafficking Survivors

Hub of HOPE

A local non-profit recently hosted a training to teach and educate about human trafficking, and to raise awareness of the resources available in NWA.

  • Recovery: Hub of HOPE works with local professionals to provide holistic healing for survivors through opportunities for education and fair labor practices. The organization also partners with various local programs to educate youth and the general public about human trafficking. 
  • Call in: Hub of HOPE depends on a strong coalition to assist in the four main areas of Hub - Healing, Opportunities, Prevention and Education.

Railyard Live 2022 Lineup Announced

Railyard Live is building on the inaugural 2021 season with an expanded lineup for 2022.

  • Impact: Railyard Live has been a positive impact on the community of Rogers by drawing audiences downtown and providing opportunities for people to connect. This year the City of Rogers hopes to solidify Railyard Live as a “top thing to do” in Northwest Arkansas. 
  • Collab: The 2022 Railyard live season will kick off with a Cinco de Mayo event with authentic music, food, and dancing in collaboration with Papa Rap and Latinas en Bici. There will be both old and new acts at the Railyard in 2022 along with more collaborations with Roots, NWA Jazz Society, George’s Majestic, and more.

New Exhibit On Display At Crystal Bridges

Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art

A new exhibition is on display at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. 

  • Light: The new exhibition is called The Light Fantastic and will be on display until May 30. It is an exhibition of 27 artists’ works from the 19th century and is presented as a meditation on light. It features painting, sculpture, printmaking, and photography. 
  • Qualities: The artists each used light in their art differently and each piece is affected by the light in the gallery. Some pieces of art are more abstract than others, intended for interpretation. This exhibit is free for the community to visit.

Ozark Beer Company Hosting Charity Spotlight And Fundraiser

Today from 1-8p Ozark Beer Company is hosting a charity spotlight called Drink Beer, Do Good at both its Bentonville & Rogers locations. 

  • Support: Every month Ozark Beer Company partners with local organizations that it is passionate about and invites them into the taproom to share its mission with guests. During the spotlight, $1 from every drink purchase goes toward the organization of the month.
  • Foster Care: Today’s organization is the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Northwest Arkansas. CASA is committed to children in foster care and has a mission to ensure safe homes and promising futures for them.

CHEER LIVE Coming To NWA

Cheer Live

CHEER LIVE is coming to Northwest Arkansas to perform at the Walmart AMP on June 8 and tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 4. 

  • Stunts: CHEER is a 2-season Netflix documentary series about two cheer team’s journeys to National Cheerleading Championships. CHEER LIVE will be bringing the show to life with routines from the top athletes from Navarro College and Trinity Valley Community College.
  • Staged: The production is the first of its kind as a premier athletic event staged with never-seen-before stunts and performances. The event will also feature 14-time national champion coach and best-selling author, Monica Aldama.
