Alright book lovers and beer lovers, there’s a book fair in town at a local brewery, and you don’t want to miss it. 

  • Evening activity: Ozark Beer Company is partnering with Rogers Public Library and The Friendly Bookstore to bring The Brewtastic Book Fair to the brewery tonight from 4-8p. You can get a beer and browse new and used books and perhaps find the perfect Christmas gift.
  • Books of fun: There will be snacks available, a bookmark making station, and a drawing for prizes at the event. If you have books you want to donate, they can go directly to The Friendly Bookstore. All proceeds from the event will go to the Rogers Public Library.

Fake or Real?

Whether your family does real trees or fake trees for Christmas, tree farms are an adventure to explore and definitely get us in the Christmas spirit! 

  • Selection: If you are looking for the perfect tree, there are plenty of options around Northwest Arkansas with six local farms growing and selling Christmas evergreens.
  • Festive fun: Last year real trees were in such high demand Wonderland Christmas sold out its 2,400 trees in the first 5.5 days it was open. Some farms have fun activities and events, so go see what all the fuss is about, and you might fall in love!

America’s best barista and co-owner of Onyx Coffee Lab, Andrea Allen, won second place in this year’s World Barista Championship (WBC) competition. 

  • Challenge: The WBC was in Milan, Italy this year and there were over 50 competitors from around the world, each representing their countries in a 15 minute presentation. 
  • Journey: Andrea has done coffee since she graduated high school and hasn’t looked back. She competed in the US Championship 5 times, winning in 2020. Then taking on the WBC, she got to show judges and the world that coffee culture is about us, the coffee drinkers.

A Good Season

The Razorback women’s soccer team had a grand season, though its last game ended in a loss. 

  • On the field: The final game against Rutgers was a game well fought, ending in penalty kicks that resulted in a narrow loss for the Razorback.
  • Successes: The team barreled through to the SEC Tournament championship game this year and made its first ever Elite 8 appearance after defeating Notre Dame in the third round of the NCAA Tournament. Congrats on your accomplishments, ladies.
