Money from the CARES Act will support a new program that provides renters and landlords some relief in these uncertain times

• Background – The Arkansas Fresh Start Program will help catch up renters who have fallen behind in payments. Renters are eligible for the program if they may 80% or less of the areas median income.
• Deep Dive – the program is not currently accepting applications in Northwest Arkansas, but should be in “early November”

The United States may have had its ‘worst’ week of COVID.. The New York Times claim that the country hit its day record on Friday with 98,859 new cases confirmed.

• Info – where does Arkansas stand within this list of new cases? Arkansas has an average of 963 cases per day, which is an increase of around 8% from the average two weeks prior. In perspective, this is within the lowest 10 states in the Union.
