Lapovations, a medical device company out of Fayetteville, raised $1.25m in Series A funding, exceeding their $1m goal by 25% thanks to eager investors.

  • Ab day: Lapovation's flagship product is the AbGrab, an innovative device designed to lift the abdominal wall during laparoscopic surgeries, making the procedure less invasive and reducing complications.
  • Fifty-pack: AbGrab officially launched in October 2022, and the company has since expanded across eight states with a sales team of 50 representatives and plans to add at least 75 more within the year.

  • On the rise: The information industry in Northwest Arkansas rose at twice the rate of the nationwide average in 2022. As an emerging tech hub that has remained relatively affordable, the real estate market will likely hold steady if not continue to rise.
  • Measurables: NAR determined its top 10 list based on various indicators, including housing affordability, the number of renters capable of affording median-priced homes, job and population growth, and other metrics.

  • Online: Orders placed on the Online Market each week between Sunday 6p and Wednesday 6a can be picked up curbside at the Fayetteville Public Library each Thursday from 4:30-5:30p.
