Northwest Arkansas Schools Promote Biking At All Ages

NW Arkansas continues to emphasize cycling throughout the community by partnering with schools to teach the benefits of biking for recreation, transportation, and developing mechanical skills. 

  • Start them young: People for Bikes recently highlighted NWA’s cycling community and the work being done to bring the benefits of biking to youth through school programs. 
  • Training wheels: Schools have incorporated elementary and middle school programs like All Kids Bike and Outride, and high school students can choose cycling as an outdoor education elective.

Find Locally Crafted Goods At The NWA Makers Market

NWA Makers Gallery

Hundreds of local craftsmen will set up shop with their goods during the NWA Makers Market this Sunday, Nov 6 at Washington County Fairgrounds. 

  • Ultimately local: From unique art to handmade furniture, everything at the Makers Market is made in NWA by people from NWA. 
  • So you know: There will be local coffee and food trucks at the event from 10a-5p. Parking on-site will cost $5.

End Your Halloween In Fayetteville’s Lower Ramble

Enjoy the fading fall colors under the canopy in the Lower Ramble and end your Halloween season with some outdoor fun. 

  • Treats in the trees: Put on your costumes and trick-or-treat the trail tonight from 4-6:30p in the Fay Jones Woods.
  • Pretty lil pumpkin: Give your jack-o-lantern one last chance to be admired in the Pumpkin Pageant on Wed, Nov 2 from 5-6:30p. Pumpkins can be left behind to be collected for composting.

New Trailside Bar And Restaurant Opens In Bentonville

The Bend NWA

A new bar and restaurant called The Bend just opened right off the Razorback Greenway in North Bentonville. 

  • Order up: The trailside patio pub menu offers sandwiches, flatbreads, salads, light snacks, and a selection of local brews. 
  • Peddle up: Located at 3604 Frontage Rd in Bentonville, the bar can be found between mile markers 38 and 39 on the Razorback Greenway near Buddy Pegs Bike Shop.

New Public Exhibit On Display At The Momentary

The Momentary has a new art exhibition on display by Chicago artist, Yvette Mayorga, entitled What a Time to be

  • Pink frosting: In her signature pink and frosted style, Mayorga’s exhibit combines images of family, found objects, 90s nostalgia, and moments from Midwest life. 
  • What a time to be: The exhibition’s title speaks to both the privileges and upheavals that have come with life in the contemporary age.
