Happy Friday! Here is a rundown of some events and fun things happening this weekend...

  • Hog fam: Get hype at the Razorback Fan Fest this Saturday down in Little Rock as the Hogs take on UAPB!*
  • Outdoor market: Weekend farmer's markets are still in full swing and a must visit.
  • Pick up: Attend a community clean up event this weekend in Springdale or Rogers. Keep NWA beautiful!
  • Movie: Get in the Halloween spirit with a family movie day at Big Sexy Food in Springdale.
  • Shady: Pick up your free new tree or plant this Saturday in one of the many NWA communities.
  • Groovy: There is a free music and arts festival this Saturday at Prairie Street Live.
  • Green thumbs: Garden at Crystal Bridges on Saturday with a nature specialist.

Ozark Outdoor Foundation

OZ, the Ozark Outdoor Foundation, and the Bentonville Public Library are hosting a race for kids tomorrow and registration is still open. 

  • Race: The racing categories are: balance bikes (5 years and under), pedal, and AWA/para-cycling. The fastest three times in each category will have opportunity to stand on a podium and collect a trophy!
  • Party: The event will be more than just a race with festival activities, crafts, discovery play, yoga, food, live music and more! NWACC Bicycle Tech program is hosting a ‘fix a flat’ competition between bike shops, and providing space to let kids tinker on bikes.

Canoe For Community

Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art

Starting today until Nov. 19 Crystal Bridges is inviting you to watch and learn about the Marshallese culture in Northwest Arkansas. 

  • Carving: A master boat builder and his team will transform a tree into a water-ready canoe, and you're invited to witness. The carvers will be available each Friday from 4-5p until the vessel is finished to talk about the building process. 
  • Celebrating culture: There will be opening and closing ceremonies to mark the beginning and end of the project that include Marshallese dance and musical performances led by local community leaders. There is no registration required.
