Despite the fall foliage, NWA may feel a bit more green over the next few weeks as more than 15 different cities in NWA are hosting their annual tree giveaways.

  • Funds: The Walton Family Foundation has provided over $1.3m to go toward planting 1,239 trees in NWA with an additional 5,375 trees that will be given to local residents.
  • Locations: Tree giveaways will be held from Oct. 21-30. Each organization or city will release details about their respective events. Fayetteville was not listed, but they too will have their Celebration of Trees Oct. 23.

Airship Coffee is a locally owned coffee company that was grown out of relationships with coffee farms in Central America.

  • Place: Initially a roastery, Airship became a customer-facing cafe in 2018 as a response to the "third-wave" of the coffee scene. There are two locations currently, both with their own story and unique atmosphere.
  • Purpose: Airship at 5th St. is where the coffee is roasted and the cafe has a simplistic environment. Airship at Coler is a gem in the middle of the woods in Bentonville, accessible only by trail.
