  • Water is life: Headquartered in Bentonville, Lifewater International works around the globe to provide clean water and empower lasting change for those living in extreme poverty. 
  • Cleats for change: Ryan Tannehill has chosen Lifewater International four years in a row as his non-profit for the My Cleats My Cause campaign, in which the NFL auctions off players' cleats for charity.

Northwest Arkansas National Airport Revises Terminal Renovation Plans

Northwest Arkansas National Airport Board of Directors recently approved revisions for a $34m renovation project, bringing exciting new amenities to the airport. 

  • Grounded: The proposed skybridge connecting the parking deck to the terminal was removed from the project, shaving about $21m off the originally proposed $52m project. 
  • Sunshine: XNA board members are negotiating a 25-year power purchase agreement with Today's Power Inc. to reduce electricity costs by purchasing solar power.

Jeannette McCurdy To Speak At Fayetteville Town Center

You might recognize Jeannette McCurdy from Nickelodeon's iCarly, but did you know all the creative work she's accomplished since then? Hear all about it at the Fayetteville Town Center tonight at 7p. 

  • Where are they now: Since her Nickelodeon days, McCurdy has become an author, podcaster, film writer, and director and was featured on the 2022 TIME100 Next list of emerging artists and leaders. 
  • Hosted by: McCurdy joins a growing list of distinguished guests hosted by the University of Arkansas's Distinguished Lectures Committee. The free event will also be live-streamed on the UA Productions YouTube channel.

Arkansas Razorbacks To Face Kansas In Liberty Bowl

After wrapping up a 6-6 season, the Razorbacks will head to Memphis to face Kansas in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl on Dec 28 at 4:30p. 

  • Three for three: Sam Pittman has earned a bowl invitation for each of his three seasons as Head Coach of the Hogs. If you catch him around town, treat him to "some old cold beer" to say congrats. 
  • Long time no see: Arkansas and KU have only met on the field twice in history, in 1905 and 1906, with Kansas winning both matches. Over a century later, here's hoping the third time's the charm.

Hop Around Northwest Arkansas's Holiday Pop-Up Bars

From Bentonville to Fayetteville, holiday-themed pop-up bars have sprung up for the season providing fun spaces to gather with friends and family. 

  • North Pole: Bentonville's Undercroft Car has been transformed into Miracle on 2nd Street, open Mon-Thurs from 5-11p, and until midnight Fri-Sat. 
  • South Pole: In Fayetteville, enjoy JJ's Lit up at Live until Dec 22 or reserve a snowdome at Walton Arts Center's Winter Nights lasting through Dec 23.
