Nothing helps beat the heat better than an ice cream cone in your hand. From food trucks to novelty shops, this guide has some great ice cream places to check out in the area as summer comes to a close.
Susie Q Malt Shop
Opened in June of 1960, Susie Q Malt Shop has been a local favorite for generations. With a classic diner feel, burgers, malts, shakes, and more, one visit to Susie Q will have you returning for years.
The Shortstop at Conoco
This ice cream stop is legendary for its “larger than life” cones. With chocolate, vanilla, or swirl flavors, these old-fashioned cones are great for sharing with family and friends.
Paleteria Standard De Penjamo
📍 1215 S Thompson St, Springdale
This shop in Springdale is known for its incredible popsicles and homemade ice cream. With a blend of culture and flavor, their homemade helado y paleta’s are seriously good. Give this shop a visit if you want to experience your favorite desserts in a new way.
Burton's Creamery Truck
📍372 W Dickson St, Fayetteville
With spicy, sweet, and salty cones, Burton’s truck can satisfy any craving. A staple of Fayetteville, the truck is located off of Dickson Street in the food truck “Shulertown”, which offers many different truck options ranging from fried chicken to noodles. Burtons is a Fayetteville must-try and is a great place to watch the town go by on a night out.
Pure Joy Ice Cream
📍 108 N Broadway St, Siloam Springs
Located in downtown Siloam Springs, the Pure Joy ice cream shop uses locally sourced ingredients for its unique flavors. All ice cream is made in their downtown location, which makes their ice cream fresh as well as sweet. With ingredients ranging from chocolate from Markham & Fitz to goat cheese from White River Creamery in Elkins, Pure Joy is an ice cream shop always experimenting with funky flavors.
Barnett’s Dairyette
📍 111 W Tulsa St, Siloam Springs
This timeless shop opened in the summer of ‘57 and has been here ever since. With classic flavors such as hot fudge and butterscotch, this ice cream has the power to take you back in time.
Spark Café Soda Fountain
The Walmart Spark Café located on the downtown square connected to the Walton Museum. In honor of Sam Walton's love for ice cream, Spark has his favorite flavor (butter pecan) and many others for less than $2 a cone. Head down to the square as summer wraps up and try out a Bentonville classic with Local Yarnells ice cream served in the Spark Café.
TJ’s Sandwich Shop & Hugs Ice Cream

Go for the sandwich, stay for the ice cream. TJ’s has homemade Hugs Icrecream “made in-house by chef Todd” with a variety of seasonal flavors and timeless classics.
Famous Ed’s Food Wagon

Pizza and ice cream — name a better combo. Original flavors like Piña Colada, Cheesecake, and Rainbow make this little stand a Eureka Springs classic for locals.
Superfine Sweet Shoppe

Ice cream is a nostalgic treat on its own, but mixing it with a fun 90’s twist? Now that’s perfection, according to the creators of Oh Snap! Ice Cream, Haley and Patty. With a cute neon-themed truck, floats, and delicious Oregon Tillamook ice cream, Oh Snap! is a fun way to show the family the glory days that were the 90s.
Rockin’ Pig
This food truck in Rogers is an extension of their restaurant in Eureka Springs, focusing on high-quality, ethical, and locally sourced beef. Come for the smash burgers and fries, and stay for their gelato or cookie gelato sandwich.
Créme Ice Cream Co.

This new shop opened July 8th, Créme Ice Cream Co. has the passion to “fulfill our sweetest dreams” with their inventive, high-quality ice cream. With flavors such as Grilled Peach, Biscoff Cookie, and more, this locally owned, family-operated shop on College is a must-try.
Honeybean Ice Cream Company

Serving super-premium scoop ice cream, smoothies, and coffee out of a food truck in Bentonville, Honeybean can also be reserved for special events. Their menu features some delectable flavors, each homemade with love.
