Director of FP&A 

AcreTrader is seeking a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to add to our growing team. This person will be responsible for standing up the planning, forecasting, reporting and analytics functions within the business. This includes assessing data and technology needs within finance, creating a business cadence for deliverables, and supporting business unit leads with financial and decision support. In addition, this person will partner directly with the CFO and executive leadership team to drive corporate initiatives within HR, marketing, legal, and product. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive financial professional that has an innate curiosity and passion for solving complex business problems

Core Responsibilities

• Establish a recurring FP&A calendar with annual, quarterly, and monthly deliverables and accountabilities
• Own and drive the long range planning and annual operating plan processes
• Establish financial targets for each of the 3 business units within AcreTrader and develop tracking against each
• Conduct decision support for 3 operating business units as well as all corporate priorities such as headcount planning and other cost initiatives
• Work with business leaders to identify KPIs that drive our organization and put processes in place to measure them.
• Participate in our board and investor reporting process.
• Develop managerial reporting to satisfy needs of both internal and external stakeholders, present management reports to executive team with key insights to drive optimal business performance
• Assess data needs to support core FP&A deliverables and partner with technology/product teams to source and centralize
• Partner with controllership team to recommend ERP and EPM toolsets to accomplish business objectives, co-lead implementation of such
• Partner with technology to address ongoing enhancements to FP&A toolsets

Key Competencies 

• 7+ years relevant experience in positions that require analysis, reporting financial results, forecasting, budgeting, and interpretation of business impact and results
• An ability to recognize insights within data sets and recommend actions to drive performance
• Experience working with multiple business units, building relationships, and managing competing priorities
• Proven ability to tell a story through data
• Extensive track record driving complex projects and analyses to completion
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability explain complex financial topics in simple terms

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred
• Technology, agricultural, or real estate backgrounds a plus
