Arkansas Razorbacks - Assistant Director, Database Marketing & Management

Summary of Job Duties:

The Assistant Director – Database Marketing & Management is responsible for managing database marketing, database management, and related analytics efforts for the organization. This position must have strong technical and communication skills to drive change through the organization and utilize ticketing/communications/fundraising partner 1:1 fan engagement capabilities and technology infrastructure. The Assistant Director will be expected to remain current on e-mail marketing best practices including contact strategies, data capture and campaign analysis, and deliverability. This position will report directly to the Associate Athletic Director – Marketing & Brand Development and will be responsible for helping build, coach, and develop a new data-driven culture throughout the various External units of the Athletic Department.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, business (accounting, finance, or economics), math (decision sciences, statistics, or analytics), engineering, or related field from an accredited institution of higher education 
  • At least two years of Sports Marketing/ Sales or Database/ CRM experience
  • Must work nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree with an emphasis in marketing or business from an accredited institution of higher education 
  • Experience with CRM, email marketing, and ticketing software

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of database and digital marketing strategies support technology
  • Knowledge of and experience with business intelligence and analytical tools
  • Advanced organization, time management, and project management skills
  • Excellent presentation, and listening skills
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and detail-oriented skills
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, and think critically
  • Ability to maintain professional image and demeanor
  • Ability to work well with others and comfortable taking initiative
