Join our Team in the heart of Northwest Arkansas! Lifewater is an established Christian non-profit and community development organization walking with the rural poor to provide access to safe water, and improved sanitation and hygiene, one village at a time. For 45 years, we have served more than 2.5 million people in 40+ countries with life-saving clean water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) practices. Lifewater currently serves in Cambodia, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Position Overview

The IT Specialist is responsible for providing cross-departmental technical support for Lifewater International. The IT Specialist will focus on providing support for hardware and software issues, information and network security, and maintaining hardware and software for Lifewater.

The IT Specialist’s primary responsibilities include:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve the Lifewater staff with technology and systems support and requests, including any hardware or software issues, from a global perspective
  • Support technology team with integration solutions and troubleshooting
  • Report on and provide solutions for any data issues, and provide process improvement in data maintenance and data collection
  • Maintain security of all applications, including user access, profiles, and security applications, actively manage areas of potential vulnerability
  • Ensure that technology tools maintain a high level of performance, and that business continuity is maintained across tools and functions
  • Serve as an applications administrator for various IT platforms
  • Manage one or more employees by providing workflow direction, feedback, coaching, performance reviews, interviewing, hiring, and any other managerial duties as needed to maximize the potential of the employee, in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Other duties as assigned

Work Experience and Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Adherence to Lifewater’s statement of faith
  • Passion for Lifewater’s mission of serving vulnerable communities and children
  • 3+ year’s experience as system administrator for Microsoft Azure, or related experience
  • 3+ year’s experience providing hardware and software support to both office and remote employees
  • 3+ year’s experience in information and network security
  • 3+ year’s experience using Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and VMWare
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States; no sponsorship will be provided

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree or certification from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Technology, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field or experience.
  • Basic experience using business intelligence platforms such as PowerBI
  • 1+ year’s experience in administration of Slack and Asana
  • 1+ year’s experience in Salesforce administration
  • Web content management platform experience

Physical Qualifications

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
