Paschal Air Plumbing and Electric - Human Resources Generalist

We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team!

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
  • Identify and execute efficient, effective, and innovative recruiting methods and strategies based on available roles, industry standards, and the needs of the team.
  • Partner with hiring managers and key stakeholders to understand current and future staffing needs.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand and determine the skills and competencies needed for each position.
  • Build and maintain relationships with trade schools, high schools, colleges, and universities. Coordinate campus and classroom visits.
  • Organize hiring events and participate in job fairs to network with potential candidates.
  • Conduct new-employee orientation and serve as the point person for all new employee questions.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Document employee coaching and warning meetings for conflicts and areas of concerns during meetings with managers.
  • Maintain records related to grievances, performance reviews, investigations, and disciplinary actions.

Successful Candidate Must Possess the Following Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of HR experience.
  • Experience with sourcing and recruiting.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • Strong coaching and counseling skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Human Resources practices and procedures.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, licensing, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Act with integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through on commitments.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to make decisions and/or recommendations to solve problems.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively at all levels of the organization.
