The Bentonville-based firm 8th & Walton was issued a B-Corp certification in recognition of its efforts to be a business force for good, making it the second Arkansas-based company to receive B-Corp status.

• B good: The certification is issued by B Lab, a nonprofit out of Pennsylvania that evaluates businesses' compliance with social and environmental standards such as social impact, financial transparency, and legal accountability.
• Empowered: 8th & Walton provides suppliers with classes, Retail Link training, and other customized services to help them become better partners with Walmart and increase the world's access to healthy, affordable, sustainable products.
