Initiatives for more affordable housing are underway. Habitat for Humanity of Benton County and engineering firm, CEI, are partnering to build inclusivity into our housing market. 

• Accessible: In an effort to provide more accessibility to homes in NWA, CEI initiated a competition this month among its 100+ staff members to design a community of homes specifically for low-income and disabled seniors and veterans. 
• Procedure: Construction could be started by the spring or summer of 2022 — the last piece of the project is the land on which to build. Habitat for Humanity and CEI are seeking a donation of 3 acres to make the designs come to life.
