Housing

A Place for Everyone

Curtis Adams

During a major season of growth in the region, the cities of Northwest Arkansas are evaluating how to meet the demand for housing with enough supply.

  • Reform: A big part of the evaluation is the transition into the production of affordable housing. The Walton Family Foundation (WFF) recommends stronger regional partnerships, education, and zoning code reform to accommodate the diverse need for housing.
  • Households: Based on a study by the WFF, the demographic majority of those coming to live and work in NWA are “workforce households” and “low-income households,” i.e. average families of four earning up to $78,000 or less than $33,000.
