Casey's General Store Grants $50,000 To Rogers Elementary School

NWA Daily

Casey's General Store awarded four grants in Arkansas this year as part of the Cash for Classrooms grant program, and one of the recipients was Bonnie Grimes Elementary School in Rogers.

  • For the kids: Overall, Casey's gave $1 million to 16 different states this year. Bonnie Grimes received $50,000 for a new inclusive playground so kids with disabilities can play and enjoy recess with their non-disabled friends. The other Arkansas grant recipients were a school band in Centerton, the Prairie Grove school district, and Howard Elementary in Fort Smith.
  • Funding community: The Cash for Classrooms program is focused on giving back to communities and supports schools and nonprofit organizations supporting education. Grants range from $3,000 to $50,000 and fund everything from playgrounds to teacher development, new school tech, field trips, and more.
