City Of Lowell Seeks Input On Park Plans

City of Lowell

The City of Lowell has proposed master plans for the Kathleen Johnson Memorial Park, Ward Nail Park, and McClure Park and is seeking public comment.

  • The parks: Ward Nail Park is a 72-acre park on the east side of Lowell, home to the city's annual Mudtown Days celebration and other events. It is a 3-minute drive to McClure Park, a small but popular spot for sports and recreation. Kathleen Johnson Memorial Park is the city's newest park and is 100 acres on the city's west side.
  • Plans: The master plans have proposed amenities such as volleyball courts, a flowering garden, restrooms, and tree masses. The city asks citizens to send comments to kdavis@lowellarkansas.gov or Lowell City Hall, c/o Planning Department.
