Mask mandates are returning with students to 31 school districts across the state as Arkansas's education system gears up for another semester with COVID.

• School safety: The Arkansas Center for Health Improvement (ACHI) released a list on Thursday with all the school districts in the state that have decided to require masks in various capacities for students as they return for school. Districts in the region that are enacting mandates include Springdale, Fayetteville, Bentonville, Fort Smith, and more.
• Not alone: The U of A System, UCA, and Arkansas Tech are also enacting mask mandates as students return to the campuses for the fall. These decisions come after an Arkansas judge ruled the ban on mask mandates unconstitutional and "blocked the state from enforcing the ban."
