Encounter Endangered Monarchs In Springdale

Downtown Springdale Alliance

The Downtown Springdale Alliance invites the public to learn more about the endangered Monarch Butterfly at a “Pop Up” Park in Turnbow Park this evening from 5:30-7:30p.

  • Annual visitors: Monarch butterflies make a yearly pitstop in NW Arkansas during their migration from Canada to Mexico, and we want to be great hosts! Come learn how we can make our area a pollinator-rich, butterfly-friendly environment in order to help these beautiful endangered critters along their way.
  • Party time: The Monarch Parade begins at Shiloh Square at 6:30p, and the first 50 children to stop by the entrance will receive a free pair of butterfly wings. Following the parade will be live music at Turnbow Park, a milkweed seed giveaway (the Monarch's favorite snack), and a Build Your Own Bouquet booth hosted by Sacred Hollow Farm
