October is Farm to School month, and local farms like A&A Orchard and Vanzant Fruit Farms are participants in providing fresh produce to local schools. 

• Did you know: Fayetteville Public Schools purchases local fruits from A&A Orchard and Vanzart Fruit Farms for all its school cafeterias from Aug-Jan? A&A Orchard delivers its batch of freshly picked apples to FPS at the end of the month.
• Markets: The A&A Orchard sells produce and products at the local Farmers’ Market, and Bentonville's 8th Street Market. Vanzant Fruit Farm runs a fruit stand in Lowell open every weekday and Saturday.
