Remember that international initiative to turn parking lots into something more interesting for a day? Well today is that day!

• "An endangered encounter": The Monarch Park is a pop-up park in Downtown Springdale in front of the Famous Hardware building at 113 West Emma Avenue. From 9a-12p you can learn about the endangered Monarch Butterfly from presentations and interactive exhibits for free.
• The midway point: The inspiration for the Monarch Park is due to Springdale being a pit-stop for the butterflies on their migration from Canada to Mexico.
