Northwest Arkansas non-profits have some assistance coming their way from the United Way of NWA.
- Stable: The social services organization works with partners to aid communities in achieving their potential through education, income stability, and healthy lives. United Way of NWA has $500k from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s emergency food and shelter program for local counties.
- Distribute: The money is meant to go to people who need it. Out of the $500k, $250k is set aside for Benton County, $235k for Washington County, and ~$28k for Carroll County. Non-profits can apply for the funds by Feb. 25.
