This week Harps Food Stores announced the acquisition of seven stores from The Markets in Louisiana and Mississippi.

• Good things grow: Founded in Springdale in 1930, Harps is the largest employee-owned company in Arkansas, currently employing more than 6,800 people at 135 stores across four states. 
• Minimal change: The Markets will remain under the same name and its 350+ employees will maintain their jobs if they choose with minimal day to day changes expected.
