Walmart Mexico is considering strategic alternatives for its operations in Honduras, El Salvador, and Nicaragua.

• Things to consider: A few options for the strategic alternatives are joint ventures, strategic partnerships, or a sale. During the evaluations, Walmart Mexico will continue to operate as usual, and there is no guarantee there will be any transaction. 
• Structures: Walmart Mexico is trying to prioritize resources and accelerate growth In Mexico, Costa Rica, and Guatemala. The idea is that further growth in Honduras, El Salvador, and Nicaragua could happen under a different structure than what it has currently. Walmart is currently in 6 countries total and is continuing to grow through strategies and operations such as these.
